Terms of Service

The agreement for using Social Assist — written in plain English, with your Australian Consumer Law rights preserved.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1. About these terms

Social Assist is a product of Assistora. Assistora is the business name operated by DPL Tech Pty Ltd, an Australian company based in Brisbane, Queensland. These terms are an agreement between you and DPL Tech Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”), the company that provides Social Assist. By creating an account or using Social Assist you agree to them. If you use Social Assist for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

We have written these terms to be readable. Nothing in them is intended to remove rights you have under Australian law, including rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

2. What Social Assist does

Social Assist lets you connect social accounts you own or manage, create and schedule posts, read conversations where the network permits it, and view performance figures. Features differ by network, depend on the permissions you grant, and depend on what each network makes available through its own systems.

The social networks are separate services. Your use of each one is governed by that network's own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their decisions, outages or changes.

3. Your account

You must give accurate registration details, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and take responsibility for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.

You are responsible for the people you invite to a workspace and for the role you give them.

4. Connecting social accounts

You may only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage. By connecting an account you instruct us to use the access you granted to provide the features you use — reading your account details, showing your content, publishing what you create or schedule, and retrieving messages and figures where supported.

You must follow each network's rules and applicable law when you post through Social Assist. You can disconnect a network at any time from Accounts.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, images and video you upload or create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and publish that content only as needed to run the service on your instructions — for example to save a draft, run a scheduled post, or send a reply you wrote. That licence ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies in routine backups until they age out.

You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful, does not infringe anyone else's rights, and complies with the rules of every network you publish to.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Social Assist to:

  • break the law or a social network's policies;
  • send spam, or post deceptive, misleading or misrepresented content;
  • harass, abuse or threaten people, or publish unlawful or hateful material;
  • infringe copyright, trade marks or other rights;
  • access accounts you are not authorised to use;
  • artificially manipulate engagement, followers or platform metrics; or
  • probe, overload, reverse engineer or interfere with the security of the service.

7. Content assistance

Content assistance is an optional helper. Generated drafts and images can be wrong, outdated or unsuitable, and we do not guarantee their accuracy or that they are original. You remain responsible for reviewing, editing and approving anything before it is published, and for making sure it complies with the law and each network's rules.

If you supply your own Google Gemini API key, that is your own relationship with Google and is subject to Google's terms and pricing.

8. Plans, credits and payments

The plans and prices shown on our pricing page are current at the time you subscribe and are in AUD. A free plan is available, and paid plans add higher limits and features as described there. Optional one-time credit top-ups may also be offered for content assistance.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Billing; cancelling stops the next renewal and your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Except where the law requires otherwise, amounts already paid for a period are not refunded simply because you cancel part-way through. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies where a service is not supplied with due care and skill or does not match its description — see “Your consumer rights” below.

9. Availability, changes and beta features

We work to keep Social Assist available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed — sometimes because a social network changes or withdraws access on its side, which can affect publishing, inbox or analytics features for that network.

Some features may be offered as beta or early access. Those are provided as they are so you can try them, and may change or be withdrawn.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Social Assist and delete your account at any time — see Delete your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, creates a security or legal risk, or puts our access to a connected network at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem.

11. Our intellectual property

The Social Assist software, design, documentation and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only as part of using the service. You must not copy, resell or create a competing service from them, or use our name or logo without permission.

12. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees or any other right you have that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: the service is provided on an as-is basis; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill; and where we are permitted to limit liability, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. We are also not responsible for a social network failing, changing or refusing to accept a post.

13. Support and complaints

Signed-in customers can raise a ticket in Help & Support inside the app. Anyone can reach us through our contact page or by emailing social@assistora.au. We will work with you in good faith to resolve any complaint before either of us starts legal proceedings. Written notices can be sent to DPL Tech Pty Ltd, 16 McDougall Street, Milton QLD 4064, Australia.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts able to hear appeals from them. If you are a consumer, this does not affect your right to bring a claim or seek help where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and we will tell you in the app or by email about material changes. Continuing to use Social Assist after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
